Own the keys that own
your sovereignty

Keys on a machine that talks to everyone

  • Key material sits on a device that browses, downloads and updates.
  • Any page you visit can ask for a signature, and the ask looks routine.
  • Clipboard hijacks and address swaps happen in the layer you trust least.
  • Recovery depends on a vendor staying online and staying honest.

Keys that never leave the room

  • Keys are generated inside the secure element and never exported.
  • Every transaction is read and confirmed on the device's own display.
  • Data moves by QR only, so there is no path for malware to travel.
  • Recovery is a standard phrase on steel, restorable without Merkle.

$3.8B in digital assets was lost in a single year from wallets that were connected to the internet.

Firmware preview access

Read both independent audit reports and run release candidates on your own device before public firmware ships.

Recovery kit included

Two stamped steel plates and a tamper-evident shipping seal, added free to every reservation made before launch.

Nothing to pay today

A reservation holds your place and costs nothing. You decide whether to order when the window opens, and you can leave at any time.

A private bank for your keys

One purpose, few moving parts, everything verifiable. A certified secure element generates and holds the keys. A 3.7-inch e-ink screen shows exactly what you are about to sign, in plain language. Nothing leaves the device except a signature, and the only way out is a QR code you can watch cross the room.

The firmware is open, the builds are reproducible, and the recovery format is a standard. Merkle is designed to be outlived by the assets it protects.

Planned for the first release

Front face of Merkle with the e-ink screen off

Verified on screen, not in an app

Amount, destination and network render on the device's own e-ink display. If the screen and the app disagree, the screen is the truth.

Air-gapped signing

Transactions cross by QR code. No USB data path, no Bluetooth, no radio of any kind.

Certified secure element

EAL6+ chip with published firmware and reproducible builds you can verify yourself.

Native multisig

2-of-3 and 3-of-5 policies across devices and locations, enforced by the hardware.

Steel-ready recovery

BIP-39 and SLIP-39 shards, sized for the plates included with every reservation.

Duress PIN and hidden vaults

A second PIN opens a decoy vault. The real one leaves no trace on the screen, so a coerced unlock reveals only what you choose to keep in the open.

The case we are here to build against

Your keys stay yours

Setup asks for nothing: no account, no email, no serial registration. The device has no identifier to report and the companion app ships without analytics.

Balance queries go to nodes you choose, including your own, over Tor if you prefer. We cannot see your holdings because we never receive them.

Built for every crypto user

Long-term holders

Set it up once. Verify the receiving address on the device, seal the steel plates, and leave the vault untouched for a decade.

DAO treasuries

Split signing authority across contributors and continents. Quorum is enforced by the devices, not by a spreadsheet and a group chat.

Business reserves

Board-ready custody with signed audit logs, per-signer limits, and a device your accountant can hold in one hand.

Frequently asked
questions

The first production run ships in March 2027, in reservation order. General availability follows in June 2027 at the retail price.

No. A reservation holds your position on the list. No card is collected and nothing is charged until you confirm an order when the window opens.

Your recovery phrase follows the BIP-39 and SLIP-39 standards, so any compatible wallet can restore your keys. The firmware is open source and the builds are reproducible.

More than 40 networks, including Bitcoin, Ethereum and its major rollups, Solana, and every EVM chain that follows the standard signing scheme.

Two independent audits are scheduled before launch, and every subsequent release ships with its report. Waitlist members get the reports as soon as they are delivered to us.

Restore your 24 words on a replacement Merkle or any compatible wallet. The steel plates included with your reservation are designed to survive what the paper backup would not.
